Qingling Group held an innovation and development conference to start a new journey in the commercial vehicle field
On July 15, 2025, the Innovation and Development Conference of Qingling Motors (Group) Co., Ltd. was grandly held in Chongqing. More than 500 guests from the Municipal Commission of Economics and Information Technology, the Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Municipal Emergency Management Bureau, the Jiulongpo District Government, the Consulate General of Japan in Chongqing, and other units, as well as Minami Shinsuke, President of Isuzu Corporation of Japan, representatives of companies such as Bosch, Huawei, and CATL, as well as Qingling's innovation chain, industrial chain, major customers, and dealers gathered to witness the technological innovation process and latest achievements of Qingling Group.
Forty years of journey: from technology introduction to independent innovation
In 1969, Qingling manufactured the first heavy-duty truck in Chongqing, the Shancheng brand truck, and embarked on a long journey to develop the automobile industry.
In 1985, Qingling took the lead in reform and opening up, seized the opportunity of the rapid development of China's automobile industry, and established the first Sino-foreign joint venture in Chongqing and the first Sino-Japanese joint venture automobile company in my country with Japan's Isuzu, and launched the country's first Isuzu 630 light truck, which was sold well throughout the country.
Over the past 40 years, Qingling has continuously introduced new products and technologies from Isuzu, launched classic models such as the 140 pickup truck, UC multi-purpose vehicle, 100P, 600P, 700P, and F heavy truck, learned advanced manufacturing technology and on-site management, introduced advanced equipment, and built an advanced industrial chain from blanks, parts, assemblies, to complete vehicles, making Qingling Isuzu a high-end brand in China's commercial vehicle industry, setting off a "ringing" craze in the domestic light truck market, and promoting the technological progress and development of China's commercial vehicle industry.
In the past decade, the "New Four Modernizations" have driven the automotive industry to accelerate technological change and industrial transformation, and new energy vehicles have promoted the transformation of China's automotive industry from following and running side by side to leading. Against this background, Qingling, on the one hand, continues to consolidate its competitive advantage in fuel vehicles with Isuzu, and on the other hand, accelerates the development of intelligent networked new energy vehicles, accumulates development resources with the "four-chain integration", builds an industrial chain ecosystem, and promotes corporate transformation and development.
In 2017, Qingling launched its first new energy light truck, in 2019, IVI car networking was put into use, and in 2020, it established Bosch Hydrogen Power Company in a joint venture with Bosch of Germany to develop hydrogen fuel vehicles and electric drive bridge industries, and was rated as CCTV Finance Investment China's Annual Case. In 2023, Qingling independently developed a new generation of wire-controlled chassis electric light truck EVM600, which won the first place in all-around and five single items in the 8th China Electric Vehicle Competition. In 2025, we will jointly develop the new Lingkun pure electric light truck with CATL and the Lingjie super-charging heavy truck with Huawei. It has six major competitive advantages: fast energy replenishment, low wind resistance, light weight, high efficiency, intelligence and low cost, and has attracted widespread attention in the industry.

Powerful cooperation: four new products strengthen the new advantages of commercial vehicles
At this innovation and development conference, Qingling released four new products: KV800 fuel vehicle, Lingkun new energy light truck, Lingjie super-charged heavy truck, and 300-kilowatt hydrogen fuel heavy-duty tractor, marking a comprehensive breakthrough for Qingling in the commercial vehicle field.
The KV800 fuel vehicle is a new model jointly developed by Qingling and Isuzu. It is equipped with Isuzu's latest 4JZ engine, with a 15% reduction in fuel consumption per 100 kilometers. It is equipped with an L2+ intelligent driving system and a car networking platform, which can realize remote diagnosis and fleet management. Ma Chongshan, the head of Qingling R&D, introduced: "The KV800 has been tested under extreme road conditions for 2 million kilometers, and the localization rate of parts is 92%. It has both Isuzu quality and adaptability to the Chinese market." The new pure electric light truck of Lingkun was jointly developed with CATL, and the super-charged heavy truck of Lingjie was jointly developed with Huawei. It uses the latest battery technology and integrated control system. The 300-kilowatt hydrogen fuel heavy-duty tractor newly developed with Bosch has zero emissions and high efficiency, leading the new trend of green logistics. The launch of four new products demonstrates Qingling's comprehensive strength and technological leadership in the field of commercial vehicles.
Customer representative, head of Jiuzhoutong Pharmaceutical Group Logistics Co., Ltd. said: "Qingling vehicles not only pull more, run faster, and save fuel, but also have an attendance rate of over 95%, 10% higher than the industry average, low failure rate, and convenient maintenance, which improves our operational efficiency and makes more money for us. It is a trustworthy high-end brand."
A representative of a Qingling dealer with 40 years of experience said that Qingling's "nanny-style" service has enhanced confidence in cooperation, and its continuous innovation and excellent quality have won wide recognition from the market and customers. In 2024, its regional sales increased by 23%. In 2025, it will set a new record, and its market share will steadily increase.
